DISCUSSION On October 6, 2008, the Housing Authority increased the Executive Director's authority to execute agreements from an amount not to exceed $10,000 to $25,000. Agreements valued at greater than $25,000 require approval by the Board of Directors. This is the same authority granted to the City Manager by the voters through a Charter Amendment in November 2006. The authority granted to the Executive Director required the submission of a quarterly report (Exhibit 1) to the Housing Authority at a public meeting on all such agreements. The report is required to include the names of contractors and the amounts of each contract. STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #5 - Community Health, Livability, Engagement & Sustainability. FISCAL IMPACT There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
