(Applicant: Planet Fitness)
Legal notice published in the Orange County Reporter on September 15, 2015 and
notices mailed September 16, 2015.
A project overview was provided by Melanie McCann, Associate Planner and fielded
questions regarding site enhancements, including the addition of two more bicycle
racks. Chairman Gartner opened the public hearing.
AMENDED MOTION: Adopt a resolution approving Variance No. 2015 -06 as
conditioned, including the addition of two additional bicycle locker spaces for
a total of four long -term locker spaces.

3. STAFF COMMENTS
Hassan Haghani
• Informed the commission that a training session will be scheduled for October
26, to be provided by the City Attorney for review of the Brown Act, and
commission bylaws and responsibilities.
• Mentioned that staff has begun identifying General Plan and zoning code
ordinance standards that need to be updated to promote a more user - friendly
experience; a work study session will be provided to review these possible
amendments.
4. PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBER COMMENTS
Commissioner Verino
• Informed that she will be on vacation the week of October 12 and will be unable
to attend the next meeting.
ADJOURNED 5:54 P.M. - The next meeting of the Planning Commission is scheduled
for Monday, October 12, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber, 22
Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California.
