Dear City Council Members,
Thank you for preparing a resolution to condemn President Trump's anti -immigrant executive orders. The American
Muslim community appreciates your efforts to stand with them in solidarity and in opposition to these discriminatory
executive orders.
President Trump is expected to issue an updated version of the executive order regarding the travel ban by the end of
this week. CAIR-LA recommends that you move discussion of the resolution to the next city council meeting. This would
allow the council to see the language of the revised order and make any necessary changes to the resolution to make it
even more effective and appropriate.
