MOTION: Approve Minutes.
C. 2015-2016 CERTIFIED LOCAL GOVERNMENT ANNUAL REPORT
Commissioner Tardif requested that staff report on the item. Senior Planner Soboleske
provided an overview of the annual report. She informed the Commission that the report
will be submitted to the Office of Historic Preservation.
MOTION: Receive and file 2015-2016 Certified Local Government Annual Report to the
Office of Historic Preservation.

COMMUNICATION DISCLOSURE REGARDING AGENDIZED PROJECTS:
Commissioner Murashie disclosed that he and Chairperson Christy visited each of the
properties.

1. HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION NO. 2016-30 AND HISTORIC
REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2016-28 {STRATEGIC PLAN NOS. 5, 2; 5, 3}
Senior Planner Soboleske provided a PowerPoint presentation.
Filed by Eugene & Ann Andres to allow the placement and categorization in the Santa Ana
Register of Historical Properties as Contributive for the property located at 2467 North
Riverside Drive (Reed House). Chairperson Christy opened the public hearing. The
applicant spoke in support of the recommended action. There were no other speakers
and the hearing was closed.
Legal notice published in the Orange County Reporter on January 13, 2017 and notices
mailed on January 12, 2017.
Commissioner Bacerra introduced a motion to adopt a resolution approving Historic
Resources Commission Application No. 2016-30 and Historic Resources Categorization
No. 2016-28. Chairperson Christy introduced an amended motion to change the category
from Contributive to Key as there have been several movies filmed on the property.
Commissioner Bacerra accepted the amended motion.
AMDENDED MOTION: Adopt a resolution approving Historic Resources
Commission Application No. 2016-30 and Historic Register Categorization No. 2016-28
as amended and designate as Key.

Filed by Robert F. and Michelle A. Donahue to allow the placement and categorization in
the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties as Contributive for the property located at
2108 North Greenleaf Street (P. Brown House) and to execute a Mills Act agreement with
the City of Santa Ana. Chairperson Christy opened the public hearing. The applicant
spoke in support of the recommended action. There were no other speakers and the
hearing was closed. Commissioner Murashie abstained due to proximity to his residence.
Legal notice published in the Orange County Reporter on January 13, 2017 and notices
mailed on January 12, 2017.
MOTION:
1. Adopt a resolution approving Historic Resources Commission Application No.
2016-31 and Historic Register Categorization No. 2016-29.
2. Recommend that the City Council authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the
Council to execute the attached Mills Act agreement with Robert F. and Michelle A.
Donahue, subject to non-substantive changes approved by the City Manager and
City Attorney.
