1. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2017-11
(Applicant: Angel Preschool)
Legal notice published in the Orange County Reporter on March 31, 2017 and notices
mailed March 31, 2017.
Commissioner Nguyen disclosed that he is acquainted with the applicant and discussed
the project with him.
Principal Planner Fregoso provided a project overview which included a project
description, site description and project analysis. The applicant spoke in support of the
project. Discussion ensued regarding the school’s operating hours and marketing
methods.
Chairperson Verino opened the Public Hearing. The following spoke on the matter:
Sister Grace, representing Angel Preschool, spoke in support of the project. At
Commission inquiry, she stated that the school utilizes a word-of-mouth marketing
method; offers a year-round program; offers breakfast and lunch; and offers tuition
scholarships to low-income families.
There were no other speakers and the Public Hearing was closed.
MOTION: Adopt Resolution No. 2017-13 approving Conditional Use Permit No.
2017-11 as conditioned.

Assistant Planner II Orozco provided a project overview which included a project
description, site description and project analysis. Discussion ensued regarding the type of
alcohol to be served. A representative for the applicant spoke in support of the project.
Chairperson Verino opened the Public Hearing. There were no speakers and the Public
Hearing was closed.
MOTION: Adopt Resolution No. 2017-14 approving Conditional Use Permit No.
2017-12 as conditioned.

description, site description and project analysis. The applicant spoke in support of the
project. Discussion ensued regarding the length of time the restaurant has had a Type 4 1
ABC license.
Chairperson Verino opened the public hearing. There were no speakers and the public
hearing was closed.

2017-13 as conditioned.
