Ms Huizar if you can make this for public comments I would appreciate it.
Thanks

City Council and Mr. Mayor.
Mr. Mayor, as you stated at the meeting with Santa Ana's sister cities I filmed many years ago, You wanted Santa Ana to
be more like the cities in Mexico. Mr. Mayor you have achieved that goal. We have nightly shootings, our crime rate is
reaching that of many of the cities south of the border. We have a depleted police department, not only by man power but
by will power. Our officers have given up. Our neighborhoods are suffering with fear of bullets falling through the roofs of
the residents. Many people can not tell the difference between the gun shots and the overwhelming illegal fireworks we
are experiencing each night, but a trained ear can tell that there are many guns going off along with the illegal fireworks. I
realize this is the 'comfort zone' you wished to achieve, but now if you got and read the many emails 1 get each day from
Nextdoor you would realize how disgusted the residents are with the situation.
Trying to give space to the few so they can fell at home as if they were back in Mexico and allowing the dangerous
explosions each evening that affects 4000 to 6000 homes at 2 AM with the 3 or 4 large explosions, then all the dogs
barking in fear along with the 15 minutes of car alarms going off is causing a hate for all the members of the city council
including the Mayor.
You wanted Santa Ana to be more like Mexico and many times you stated there was not enough diversity in Santa Ana
from the different states in Mexico. I think now you have achieved your goal. But when my Mexican neighbors move to
Costa Mesa so their children can go to safe schools, so the parents and children can sleep all night, that tells us that the
Mexicans that came here to escape the terrible crime in our Sister Cities and to have a better life are not finding that in
Santa Ana.
We realize you count on the census to get money from the federal government, that Santa Ana has the largest SLUM in
the United States, this is your legacy, a poor city that all of Orange county drops it's homeless, criminals and drive out
people from their cities to the only city in Orange County that welcomes the over crowding, the increase in crime and the
problems that go along with high density housing. That failed in Europe and Mexico, people are fleeing those locations to
escape that life and those conditions only to find them in Santa Ana.
From the Golden City, the city of Education, to Downtown OC. Every downtown in every major city that has used your
methods of increasing population are the new Detroit's. Santa Ana is the Detroit of Orange county with business being
forced to leave for security reasons, homeownership is at all time low because people are moving out and renting their
homes.
This was your stated goal, well Mr. Mayor you have achieved that goal
Read what I get 10 - 20 of a day. These are the residents of Santa Ana speaking to you.

Those fireworks are very startling when you're sitting there enjoying your quiet time with the window open. I was
wondering what the rules were. Sunday night at 9 seems like that would be illegal...
I just reported 2 massive explosions which happened at approximately
5:20 & 5:25 PM today using the Fireworks Hotline! They are becoming
more bold and disrespectful!! This has got to STOP, NOW!!t As stated
before, I have an anxiety disorder and am concerned that they will drive
me to a more serious condition, Le. stroke or heart attack!?!? Please
report each and every illegal explosion you hear, even if it's already been
reported!!! "The squeaky wheel gets the grease" T r O
Windwood Forest
Do to the fact of this most likely illegal fireworks my do has been barking
and I have received letters from my association charging me $50 bucks
because the dog goes crazy when he hears the big booms!!!

Fireworks
Fireworks (firecrackers & mortars) are being shot off every night between dark and midnight in the vicitiny of the cross
streets Warner and Greenville. The police need to be on this with sound locators to put a stop to this noisy activity. The
police have had plenty of calls so that something should have been done by now.
This activity starts around April and goes until the run out of fireworks I suppose around November. And its been going
on for a number of years.
