TO REGULATE MOBILE FOOD VENDING VEHICLES
Dear Mayor and City Council Members,
As a resident of Santa Ana, as a tax payer and as a Mother trying to raise 3 little girls in Ward 6, 1 beg you from
the bottom of my heart not to pass Agenda Item 75C111 Please help us keep the little quality of life that we have
left. It's so hard for me to provide my little ones a an answer to their question: 'mommy why do we have food
trucks in our neighborhood? Are there food trucks in Aliso Viejo where you work?' Please don't pass this
item ... help me provide my little ones the following honest answer: city major and city council cares and will not
allow them in our neighborhood anymore!!!

Mayor and City Council Members,
Would Santa Ana neighborhoods in gated residential communities or residential properties with Home Owners
Associations (HOAs) be included in the Mobile Vending Sites and Lease of the Public Right -of -Way?
There are many gated communities and residential properties in Santa Ana that are part of a Home Owners
Association (HOAs) that have Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&Rs) that currently do not allow and
would not allow for Mobile Food Vending Vehicles to lease public right-of-way or install electrical outlets in their
neighborhood.
By passing Agenda Item 75C, we are setting a bad precedent that will only affect certain neighborhoods and
not include residential gated communities nor include residential properties with a Home Owners Associations
(HOAs) that have Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&Rs).
I respectfully request that you do not support directing staff to return with a program to provide mobile vendors
electrical power options upon purchase of street lights nor Lease of the Public Right -of -Way.
I respectfully request that any City Council Member who lives in a gated communities or residential properties
with a Home Owners Associations (HOAs) that has Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&Rs) recues
them self from voting on Agenda Item 75C as it will not directly impact them or their neighborhood.
Kind regards,
Chris Schmidt
