ORDINANCE NS-862 AMENDING THE SANTA AMA MUNICIPAL <br />CODE BY ADDING SECTION 4213 TO PART 1w CHAPTER 2, <br />ARTICLE IV TO P~EGULATE GAMBLING AT DICE OR POOL <br />WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA AMA <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA AMA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That Part 1, Chapter 2, of Article IV of the <br />Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding thereto <br />Section 4213 immediately following Section 4212 in words and figures <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Section 4213. Gamblinq at Dice or Pool. <br /> No person or persons shall deal, play, or carry on, open, or <br />cause to be opened, or conduct, or permit, either as owner or <br />employee, whether for hire or not, any game of dice having <br />six (6) faces or less, or any game played with small round balls <br />usually having one flat face and commonly referred to as "pool <br />peas", or any game or games using pool balls for the purpose <br />of engaging in billiards, snooker, pool, or any similar game when <br />the aforementioned game or games are played for money, checks, <br />credit, or other representatives of value, and no person shall <br />bet at or against any of the aforementioned and prohibited games. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) <br />days from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of November, 1966. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br /> CITY OF SANTA AMA ~ <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
