ORDINANCE NO. NS-2846 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA REZONING THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />1400-1441 SOUTH VILLAGE WAY AND 2100 EAST <br />WILSHIRE AVENUE FROM LIGHT INDUSTRIAL (M1) TO <br />SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT NO. 85 (SD-85) (AA NO. 2013- <br />02) AND ADOPTING SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT NO. 85 <br />(SD-85) FOR SAID PROPERTY <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana does hereby find, determine <br />and declare as follows: <br />A. Amendment Application No. 2013-02 has been filed with the City of Santa <br />Ana to change the zoning district designation of certain real property located <br />at 1400-1441 South Village Way and 2100 East Wilshire Avenue from Light <br />Industrial (M1) to Specific Development No. 85 (SD-85). The Specific <br />Development No. 85 zoning district (SD-85) would allow manufacturing, <br />warehouse and wholesale uses as well as commercial uses that are <br />consistent with and support the surrounding industrial tenants. These uses <br />include retail, restaurants and indoor sports facilities. <br />B. The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana held a duly noticed <br />public hearing on June 10, 2013, on Amendment Application No. 2013-02 <br />and decided to recommend that the City Council adopt an ordinance <br />approving Amendment Application No. 2013-02, which is consistent with the <br />General Plan. <br />C. This Council, prior to taking action on this ordinance, held a duly noticed <br />public hearing on July 1, 2013. <br />D. The City Council also adopts as findings all facts presented in the Request <br />for Council Action dated July 1, 2013 accompanying this matter. <br />E. For these reasons, and each of them, Amendment Application No. 2013-02 <br />is hereby found and determined to be consistent with the General Plan of <br />the City of Santa Ana and otherwise justified by the public necessity, <br />convenience, and general welfare. <br />Section 2. In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the <br />proposed project is exempt from further review pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3), which is a <br />general rule exemption applying to projects that have no possibility of having a significant <br />Ordinance No. NS-2846 <br />Page 1 of 3
