<br />EXPOSURES DURING THAT OPERATION OR WORKPLACE. THE ASSESSMENT MUST BE
<br />COMPLETED IN TIME TO COMPLY WITH REQUIREMENTS WHICH ARE TRIGGERED BY
<br />EXPOSURE DATA OR THE LACK OF A "NEGATIVE EXPOSURE ASSESSMENT," AND TO
<br />PROVIDE INFORMATION NECESSARY TO ASSURE THAT ALL CONTROL SYSTEMS

<br />4. FOR PURPOSES OF CLEARNESS AND LEGIBILITY, THE SYMBOLS ARE ESSENTIALLY
<br />DIAGRAMMATIC. DO NOT SCALE THE DRAWINGS TO DETERMINE THE LOCATION OF
<br />CONSTRUCTION OR SIZE OF EQUIPMENT / FIXTURES; EXACT DIMENSIONS MUST BE

<br />NECESSARY AND CUSTOMARY TO CARRY OUT THE INTENT OF THE CONSTRUCTION
<br />DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
<br />7. WRITTEN APPROVAL, IN ADDITION TO THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS, FROM THE
<br />ARCHITECT OR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO BORING, NOTCHING,
<br />CUTTING OR IN ANY WAY ALTERING ANY STRUCTURAL MEMBER.
<br />8. FIRE AND SMOKE BARRIER PENETRATIONS AND OPENINGS THROUGH WALLS,
<br />CEILINGS, FLOORS, ETC, SHALL BE RESEALED TO MAINTAIN THE RATING OF THE
<br />ASSEMBLY. INSTALL A FIRE STOP SYSTEM PER THE MANUFACTURER'S
<br />INSTRUCTIONS, THAT IS RE-ENTERABLE, REUSABLE, UL-CLASSIFIED, AND PROPERLY
<br />LABELED.
<br />9. CONTRACTOR SHALL KEEP THE WORK SITE CLEAN AND IS RESPONSIBLE FOR
<br />CONDUCTING AND COMPLETING ALL WORK IN A NEAT AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER,
<br />INCLUDING A FINAL CLEANUP OF THE WORK SITE PRIOR TO FINAL INSPECTION.
<br />10. CAREFULLY PROTECT ALL WALLS, TRIMS, FLOORS, EQUIPMENT, UTILITY LINES,
<br />MATERIALS, ETC. WHEN WORKING ON FINISHED SURFACES, LIMIT DAMAGE TO THE
<br />SMALLER AREA IF POSSIBLE AND RESTORE ALL SURFACES WHICH ARE DAMAGED
<br />BECAUSE OF THE INSTALLATION OF THIS WORK TO THEIR ORIGINAL CONDITION. ANY
<br />DAMAGE TO THE OWNER'S PROPERTY SHALL BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED WITH AN
<br />APPROVED EQUAL, AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.
<br />11. SALVAGED EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS SHALL REMAIN THE PROPERTY OF THE
<br />OWNER AND SHALL BE NEATLY STORED AND PROTECT ON THE PREMISES AS
<br />DIRECTED BY OWNER. 65% OF NON-HAZARDOUS DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION
<br />MATERIALS SHALL BE RECYCLED. HAZARDOUS MATERIALS SHALL BE DISPOSED PER
<br />GUIDELINE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES AND
<br />OTHER AGENCIES HAVING JURISDICTION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BEAR THE SOLE
<br />RESPONSIBILITY OF AFOREMENTIONED OBLIGATIONS.
<br />12. MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT PROVIDED SHALL BE NEW, ENERGY STAR CERTIFIED (IF
<br />APPLICABLE), INSTALLED IN THE MANNER FOR WHICH THEY ARE DESIGNED AND
<br />APPROVED, BEAR THE UNDERWRITERS LABEL (UL), AND ARE SUBJECT TO FIELD
<br />VERIFICATION. TEMPORARILY REMOVED EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS, AND SUPPLIES
<br />SHALL BE PROTECTED AND REPLACED IN THEIR ORIGINAL LOCATIONS.
<br />13. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL RELOCATE EXISTING EQUIPMENT, FIXTURES, CONDUITS,
<br />CONDUCTORS, BOXES, FITTINGS, ETC WHICH INTERFERES WITH PLANNED WORK AND
<br />PROVIDE CIRCUIT CONTINUATION REQUIRED FOR ALL EXISTING EQUIPMENT,
<br />FIXTURES, ETC. SCHEDULED TO REMAIN. VERIFY CIRCUIT NUMBERS AND LOADS FOR
<br />ALL EXISTING EQUIPMENT / FIXTURES PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF NEW / RELOCATED
<br />ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT / FIXTURES. CIRCUITS AND LOADS SHALL BE REASSIGNED
<br />ACCORDINGLY AND PANEL CARDS / DIRECTORIES / AS-BUILTS SHALL BE UPDATED, IN
<br />TYPING, TO INDICATE EACH CIRCUIT'S SPECIFIC FUNCTION AND LOCATION. LABEL ALL
<br />UNUSED CIRCUIT BREAKERS AS "FUTURE," PER NEC.
<br />14. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY EXISTING CONDUIT / CONDUCTOR RUNS AND
<br />SHALL REUSE AS REQUIRED, ONLY IF IN PROPER WORKING ORDER. ALL UNUSED
<br />CONDUITS / CONDUCTORS SHALL BE DISCONNECTED AND REMOVED. UNUSED
<br />CONDUIT IN INACCESSIBLE LOCATIONS (WALLS TO REMAIN) CAN BE ABANDONED IN
<br />PLACE. RELOCATE EXISTING CONDUITS AND / OR CONDUCTORS / CABLING ROUTING
<br />THROUGH AREAS WHERE NEW / REMOVED WALLS ARE SPECIFIED.
<br />15. CONDUIT SHALL BE STANDARD STEEL RIGID, IMC OR EMT (THIN WALL) WITH
<br />INSULATED BUSHINGS NO SMALLER THAN 1/2". EMT CONNECTIONS SHALL BE
<br />COMPRESSION OR SET SCREW TYPE. LIQUID TIGHT FLEXIBLE METAL CONDUIT SHALL
<br />BE USED FOR MOTOR CONNECTIONS, PER ARTICLE 350. PVC CONDUIT SHALL BE USED
<br />ONLY FOR UNDERGROUND. FLEXIBLE METAL CONDUIT SHALL BE INSTALLED PER

<br />16. NO PIPING, DUCTS, OR OTHER EQUIPMENT FOREIGN TO ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
<br />SHALL BE PERMITTED TO BE LOCATED WITHIN THE DEDICATED SPACE ABOVE THE
<br />ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT AND A MINIMUM OF 3 FEET OF WORKING SPACE SHALL BE
<br />PROVIDED AND MAINTAINED.
<br />17. ALL FUSES SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH REJECTION TYPE FUSE HOLDERS.
<br />18. RELOCATION AND / OR REMOVAL OF EXISTING EQUIPMENT, FIXTURES, OUTLETS
<br />BOXES, CONDUITS, WIRING, ETC. MAY AFFECT THE OPERATION OF REMAINING
<br />ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT / FIXTURES. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ADDITIONAL
<br />MATERIALS, AS REQUIRED, TO MAINTAIN AND / OR RESTORE CONTINUITY OF
<br />SERVICES TO REMAINING ELECTRICAL / DEVICES. WHERE NEW PARTITIONS OR

<br />WHERE EXISTING WALLS AND CEILINGS ARE TO REMAIN, PROVIDE BLANK COVER

<br />CONTRACT. PATCH AND PAINT TO MATCH SURROUNDING AREA.
<br />19. ALL EXTERIOR RECEPTACLES SHALL BE WEATHER-PROOF TYPE AND GFCI
<br />PROTECTED. COORDINATE MOUNTING HEIGHTS OF RECEPTACLES, SWITCHES, A/V
<br />DEVICES, SECURITY DEVICES, ETC. MOUNTED ON COMMON WALLS SO THAT ALL
<br />OUTLETS ARE MOUNTED TO ALIGN HORIZONTALLY.
<br />20. CONDUCTORS SHALL BE 600 VOLT TYPE THHN OR THWN SOLID SOFT-DRAWN COPPER
<br />FOR WIRE SIZES #12 THROUGH #10 AND STRANDED COPPER FOR LARGER SIZES.
<br />SIZED PER CODE WITH A MINIMUM SIZE OF 12AWG. PROVIDE GROUND WIRE IN EACH
<br />CONDUIT CONTAINING CIRCUITS FEEDING RECEPTACLES. THE CONDUIT SHALL NOT
<br />BE PERMITTED TO SERVE AS THE ONLY ELECTRICAL GROUND RETURN PATH.
<br />CONDUCTORS SHALL BE DELIVERED TO THE SITE IN THEIR ORIGINAL UNBROKEN
<br />PACKAGES, PLAINLY MARKED OR TAGGED WITH SIZE, TYPE, INSULATION,
<br />MANUFACTURER'S / TRADE NAME. MANUFACTURED DATE SHALL NOT EXCEED TWO (2)
<br />YEARS PRIOR TO THE DATE OF DELIVERY TO THE SITE.
<br />21. CONDUIT FOR TELEPHONE / CABLING SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH INSULATED
<br />BUSHINGS AND HAVE AN INSIDE BEND RADIUS OF 10 TIMES ITS INTERNAL DIAMETER.
<br />MAINTAINED A MINIMUM CLEARANCE OF 4 FEET FROM TRANSFORMERS & 1 FOOT
<br />FROM POWER CIRCUITS / LUMINAIRES.
<br />22. LUMINAIRES SHALL BE LED ONLY, CEC CERTIFIED, APPROVED FOR WET LOCATIONS,
<br />RATED FOR STARTING & OPERATING TEMPERATURES OF BELOW 0°F, AND INSTALLED
<br />IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. RECESSED FIXTURES
<br />SHALL BE PRE-WIRED TO ATTACHED J-BOX IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL CODE
<br />REQUIREMENTS AND ACCESSIBLE PER NEC. FIXTURES SHALL BE APPROVED FOR

<br />23. LUMINARIES IN FIRE-RATED CEILINGS / WALLS SHALL BE APPROVED FOR THE FIRE

<br />WALL RATING WITH 3" CLEARANCE FROM ALL SIDES.
<br />24. PROVIDE TO THE OWNER A WRITTEN GUARANTEE, IN COMPLIANCE WITH DIVISION 1,
<br />AGAINST DEFECTS IN MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP FOR ONE (1) YEAR FROM FINAL
