I am concerned these streetlights will be replaced with the standard streetlights used across our City's arterial streets, which are not period specific to the original design of Civic Center
(mid-century/brutalism) nor would they enhance the Civic Center area which is visited by thousands of people every year.

Is it possible for the Planning Commission to request staff to design for a electrical system that can support new street and pedestrian lighting system that is either:

(1) complimentary to the existing mid-century architecture in Civic Center, such as the Richard Neutra designed Orange County Courthouse
or
(2) continue the street lighting system seen across the Downtown as recommended under the Transit Zoning Code - Street Network Concepts - Streetlight Specifications (City of Santa Ana Standard
Plan 1126 'A') on page 6:3 (Page 76 of PDF). I attached a copy of this page for reference.

I want to thank Ron Ono for contacting me earlier today to explain the scope of the project.

Please and thank you,
Lisandro Orozco

-Lisandro
