Mitre -Ramirez, Norma
From: firstname.lastname@example.org on behalf of The City of Santa Ana
<noreply@ news.santa-ana.org>
Sent: Friday, October 8, 2021 7:38 PM
To: !City Clerk
Subject: Webform submission from: Public Comment Form on Communities of Interest for
Redistricting
Submitted on Fri, 10/08/2021 - 19:38
Submitted values are:
Please Choose Your Language Preference:
English
Name
Luis Soto
Date
10/08/2021
What is the name of the neighborhood where you reside?
Valley Adams
How do you describe your community to someone who hasn't visited? What streets/boundaries define
your community?
North/South boundaries for my surrounding community would be McFadden & Warner. East and West would
be Raitt and Fairview.
What are the major culturaUrecreationaUeducationaUreligious institutions in your community?
A major religious institution would be Immaculate Heart of Mary. Major high schools are Valley and Godinez
(Godinez is technically Ward 1).
Does your community have major geographical boundaries/features (freeways, parrs, lakes, mountains)?
Adams Park is near the South Boundary and Centennial Park is West of Fairview.
Do you have concerns about the current boundaries of your Ward?
No major concern.
Other Comments:
Warner Ave seems like a "natural' boundary between residents living N and S of it. There is less interaction
between the residents. It is more common for children N of Warner to be apart of the same Middle/High School
as opposed to those living S of it. There are also two large churches, one in the Northern portion of Ward 2 and
the other in the Southern.
I would include Godinez High School as part of the Ward 2 community.
