ORDINANCE NO. NS-633 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION
<br />._.OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "FAIRHAVEN AND GRAND
<br />S. E. ANNEX NO. 2"

<br /> WHEREAS, on December 3, 1962, the City Council of the City of
<br />Santa Aha declared its intention to annex uninhabited territory by
<br />Resolution No. 62-214, which said Resolution was regularly published
<br />as required by law and gave notice of a protest hearing to be held
<br />January 21, 1963, which hearing was regularly held; and after final
<br />adjournment of said hearing on protests, it was found and declared
<br />by Resolution NO. 63-12 that a majority protest had not been made.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
<br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
<br />
<br /> SECTION 1: That it finds and declares that said territory,
<br />hereinbelow described, was uninhabited at the time Resolution No. 62-214
<br />was adopted initiating this proceeding, was contiguous to the City of
<br />Santa Aha and shall not be taxed top~y any indebtedness of the City
<br />existing at the time of this annexation.
<br />
<br /> SECTION 2: That all of the territory situated in the County
<br />of orange, State of California, and described as:
<br />
<br />Commencing at the Southwest corner of the Fairhaven and
<br />cambridge Northwest Annex., Ordinance No. NS-588, said
<br />corner being the intersection of the South line of Fair-
<br />haven Avenue with the Southerly extension of a line 5.5
<br />feet West, measured at right angles, from the East line
<br />of Lot 13, Block "D" of the A. B. Chapman Tract as surveyed
<br />by Frank Lecouvreur in December, 1870, and shown on a map
<br />thereof recorded in Book 102, Page 15, Miscellaneous Maps,
<br />Records of Orange County, California; thence, North 89° 56'
<br />55" East, a distance of 15 feet, more or less, to an angle
<br />point in the existing City boundary of the City of Santa
<br />Aha, as established by the Fairhaven and Grand Southeast
<br />Annex, Ordinance No. NS-605, October 1, 1962, and by said
<br />Fairhaven and Cambridge N.W. Annex, said angle point being
<br />the true point of beginning; thence, North 89° 56' 55" Eas't
<br />a distance of 321.33 feet along said City boundary as
<br />established by said Fairhaven and Cambridge Northwest Annex;
<br />thenCe, departing from said City boundary South 0° 03' 30"
<br />East, a distance of 666.19 feet; thence, South 89* 56' 55"
<br />West, a distance of 321.33 feet to an angle point in said
<br />City boundary as established by said Fairhaven and Grand
<br />S.E. Annex, said angle point also being the Southeast
<br />corner of Tract No. 4424 as shown on a map thereof recorded
<br />in Book 160, Pages 24 and 25, Miscellaneous Maps, Records
<br />of Orange County, California; thence North 0° 03' 30" West,
<br />a distance of 666.19 feet along said City boundary as
<br />established by said Fairhaven and Grand S. E. Annex to the
<br />true point of beginning,

<br />be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Aha and to
<br />Ward No. 1 in said City, and said annexation is by this Ordinance
<br />effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this
<br />territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Aha City - 1957
<br />and 1958 Annexes"
<br />
<br /> SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from
<br />and after the date of its adoption.
<br />
<br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
<br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 4th day of February, 1963.
