ORDINANCE NO. NS-639 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION <br />OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SUNFLOWER AND FLOWER <br />NORTHWEST ANNEX" <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on ~anuary 7, 1963, the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Aha declared its intention to annex uninhabited territory by <br />Resolution No. 63-7, which said Resolution was regularly published <br />as required by law and gave notice of a protest hearing to be held <br />February 18, 1963, which hearing was regularly held; and after final <br />adjournment of said hearing on protests, it was found and declared <br />by Resolution No. 6334 that a majority protest had not been made. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANADOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That it finds and declares that said territory, <br />hereiubelow described, was uninhabited at the time Resolution No. 63-7 <br />was adopted initiating this proceeding, was contiguous to the City of <br />Santa Aha and shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the City <br /> existing at the time of this annexation. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That all of the territory situated in the County <br />of Orange, State of California, and described as: <br /> <br />Commencing at the Southwest corner of the Northeast one- <br />quarter of Section 36, Township 5 South, Range 10 West, <br />San Bernardino Base and Meridian, said Southwest corner <br />being on the center line of Sunflower Avenue; thence <br />Westerly along said center line 25.00 feet, more or less, <br />to the Southerly extension of the West line of that certain <br />parcel of land conveyed to the Orange County Flood Control <br />District, recorded in Book 1950, Page 109, Official Records <br />of Orange County, California; thence North 0° 39' 25" East, <br />a distance of 25.00 feet, more or less, to a point on the <br />North line of Sunflower Avenue, said point also being an <br />angle point in the existing boundary of the City of Santa <br />Aha as established by the South Santa Aha Annex No. 5, <br />Ordinance No. N.S. 450; thence North 0° 39' 25" East a <br />distance of 1106.57 feet, along the existing boundary of <br />the City of Santa Aha as established by said South Santa Aha <br />Annex No. 5, and along said West line of said parcel of the <br />Orange County Flood Control District to an angle point in <br />said City boundary and to the true point of beginning; <br /> . o 3 ' 25" <br />thence, departing from said City boundary, North 0 9 <br />East, a distance of 3,375.29 feet, along said West line of <br />said parcel of the Orange County Flood Control District; <br />thence, departing from said West line of said parcel of the <br />Orange County Flood Control District North 89° 20' 31" West, <br />a distance of 162.70 feet; thence, South 0° 39' 25" West, <br />a distance of 62.00 feet; thence, North 89° 20' 35" West, <br />a distance of 156.80 feet; thence, South 0° 39' 25" West, <br />a distance of 62.00 feet; thence, North 89° 20' 35" West, <br />a distance of 96.80 feet; thence, South 0° 39' 25" West, <br />a distance of 62.00 feet; thence, North 89° 20' 35" West, <br />a distance of 156.90 feet; thence, South 0° 39' 45" West, <br />a distance of 3,192.63 feet, to a point in the existing <br />City boundary of the City of Santa Aha, as established by <br />said South Santa Aha Annex No. 5; thence, South 89° 40' 35" <br />East, a distance of 573.52 feet along said City boundary <br />and along the South line of the 127.040 acre parcel of land <br />as shown on a Record of Survey Map filed in Book 7, Page 31, <br />Records of Survey in the Office of the County Recorder of <br />said Orange County, to the true point of beginning, <br /> <br />be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Ana and to <br />Ward No. 4 in said City, and said annexation is by this Ordinance <br />effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this <br />territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Ana City - 1957 <br />and 1958 Annexes". <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
