ORDIb~NCE NS-709 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF
<br />TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SANTA CLARA AND WRIGHT
<br />So E° ANNEX"

<br /> WHF~AS, on November 4th, 1963, the City Council of the
<br />city of Santa A~na declared its intention to annex unin~a~i~e~
<br />territory by Resolution 63-170, which said Resolution was regularly
<br />published as required bylaw and gave notice of a protest hearing to
<br />be held December 16, 1963, which hearing was regularly held; after
<br />final adjournment of said hearing on protests, it was found and
<br />declared by Resolution 63-209 that a majority protest had not been
<br />made.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
<br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS~
<br />
<br /> S~CTION 1: That it finds and declares that said territory
<br />hereiubelow describedwas uninhabited at the time Resolution 63-170
<br />was adopted initiating this proceeding; was contiguous to the City
<br />of Santa Ana, and shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the
<br />city existing at the time of this annexation.
<br />
<br /> SECTION 2: That all of the territory situated in the County
<br />of orange, State of California, described as:
<br />
<br /> Beginning at the center line intersection of Santa Clara
<br /> Avenue and Wright Street, said intersection being the North-
<br /> west corner of the "J. W. Davenport Tract" in the "A. B.
<br /> Chapman Tract" as surveyed by Frank Lecouvreur in December,
<br /> 1870, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 102,
<br />Page 15 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County,
<br />California, said intersection also being an angle point in
<br />the existing City of Santa Aha boundary as established by
<br />Ordinance No. 73 and rLuming thence South 89° 59' 13" West
<br />along the center line of said Santa Clara Avenue and.along
<br />said existing City boundary, a distance of 38.39 feet to
<br />the Southeast corner of the boundary of the "Santa Clara and
<br />Wright Northwest Annex", Ordinance No. NS-584; thence North
<br />0e 03' 07" West along the East boundary line of said
<br />OrdiD~nce.No. NS-584, a distance of 25.00 feet to the North
<br />line of said Santa Clara Avenue, said North line being
<br />parallel with and 25.00 feet Northerly, measured at right
<br />angles fr~n the center line of said Santa Clara Avenue; thence
<br />departing frc~ the boundary of said Ordinance No. NS-584 and
<br />from said existing City boundary North 89e 58' 20" East,
<br />along said North line of Santa Clara Avenue, a distance of
<br />450.89 feet, more or less, to the Northerly extension of the
<br />East line of the land conveyed by a deed to Metropolitan
<br />Saving and Loan Association of Los Angeles, recorded in
<br />Book 6340, page 142, Official Records of Orange County,
<br />California; thence South along said East line, a distance of
<br />553 feet, more or less, to the Southeast corner of the land
<br />described in said deed and to the North line of that certain
<br />parcel of land conveyed by a deed to Lois Brown, recorded in
<br />Book 6690, Page 8, of said Official Records; thence East
<br />along said North line, a distance of 412.5 feet, more or less,
<br />to the Northeast corner of the land described in said last
<br />mentioned deed and to a point on the existing City of Santa
<br />Ana boundary as establishedby the "Fairhaven and Cambridge
<br />Southeast annex", Ordinance NO. NS-576; thence South 0° 01'
<br />55" East along said existing City boundary and along the
<br />East line of said last mentioned deed, a distance of 528 feet,
<br />more or less, to the Northeast corner of Tract No. 4167 as
<br />shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 148, page 40 and 41,
<br />Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, and
<br />to the Northeast corner of the boundary of the "Twenty-first
<br />and Lyon N.W. Annex", Ordinance No. NS-532 and to an angle
<br />
