ORDINANCE NS-884 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF
<br />TERRITORY DESIGNATED "DYER AND GRAND NORTHWEST
<br />ANNEX" TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, heretofore, on May 15, 1967, the City Council of the
<br />City of Santa Ana declared its intention to annex uninhabited territory
<br />by Resolution 67-66, which said Resolution was regularly published as
<br />required by law and gave notice of a protest hearing to be held on
<br />July 3, 1967, which hearing was regularly held; after final adjourn-
<br />ment of said hearing on protests it was found and declared by
<br />Resolution 67-103 that a majority protest had not been made.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
<br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
<br />
<br /> SECTION 1: That it finds and declares that said territory
<br />hereinbelow described, was uninhabited at the time Resolution 67-66
<br />was adopted initiating this proceeding; was contiguous to the City of
<br />Santa Aha, and shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the City
<br />existing at the time of this annexation.
<br />
<br /> SECTION 2: That all of the territory situated in the County
<br />of Orange, State of California, described as:
<br />
<br />Beginning at an angle point in the City boundary of the City
<br />of Santa Ana as annexed by the "Irvine's Subdivision Annex No. 1 -
<br />Revised" Ordinance NS-696, said angle point being the south-
<br />easterly line of Newport Avenue, as conveyed to the County of
<br />Orange by deed recorded February 17, 1914 in Book 250, page 73 of
<br />Deeds, said point being located North 40" 39' 12" East 336.48 feet
<br />measured along said southeasterly line from the intersection of
<br />said southeasterly line with the easterly extension of the center
<br />line of Dyer Road; thence North 40" 39' 12" East parallel with and
<br />30 feet southeasterly, measured at right angles from the center
<br />line of Newport Avenue and along said boundary of the City of
<br />Santa Ana a distance of 1,031.86 feet; thence departing from said
<br />boundary of the City of Santa Ana North 88" 36' 10" West, 562,95
<br />feet to the Westerly terminus of that certain course which bears
<br />"North 88" 36' 10" West, 155.90 feet" in that certain parcel of
<br />land described in a deed to the State of California, recorded
<br />June 10, 1963 in Book 6580, page 695 of Official Records of Orange
<br />County, California; thence North 43" 36' 06" West, 35.36 feet to a
<br />line parallel with and distant Easterly 30.00 feet, measured at
<br />right angles, from a line which bears South 1" 23' 50" West,
<br />from the northwest corner of Section 29, Township 5 South,
<br />Range 9 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, in the Rancho
<br />Santiago de Santa Ana; thence North 88" 36' 10" West, 60.00 feet;
<br />thence South 1" 23' 50" West 50.00 feet to a tangent curve
<br />concave Westerly having a radius of 970.00 feet; thence along
<br />said curve through a central angle of 26" 48' 16", an arc length
<br />of 453.79 feet to a point on a non-tangent line, said point
<br />being the Northeast corner of that certain parcel of land described
<br />in deed to the City of Santa Ana, recorded February 28, 1967 in
<br />Book 8186, page 165 of Official ~ecords of Orange County,
<br />California; thence West, 379.30 feet to a point in the West line
<br />of the property described as Parcel 1 in the deed from J. S. Ellis
<br />to Sarah E. Ellis, recorded January 29, 1937 in Book 873, page 6
<br />of Official Records of said County; thence South 0" 26' 50" West
<br />330.00 feet along said West line to a point in the North line of
<br />that certain parcel of land described in deed recorded October 17,
<br />1912 in Book 221, page 334 of Deeds, in the office of the County
<br />Recorder of said County; thence South 89" 05' 55" East, 134.77 feet
<br />along last mentioned North line to an angle point in said City
<br />Boundary of the city of Santa Aha as annexed by the "Irvine's Sub-
<br />division Annex No. 1 - Revised" by Ordinance No. NS-696; thence
<br />South 88° 15' 18" East along said boundary of the City of Santa
<br />Ana 350 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
