ORDINANCE NS-971 CHANGING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 645 INITIATED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION, AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 12-5-10 (EXHIBIT AA 645-A) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 645, initiated by the Planning Commission for a change in District classification from the R 2 and R 3 Districts north of Washington Avenue to the R 3H District, and from the R 2, R 3, R 3H and R 3HB Districts south of Washington Avenue to the P District, and said Commission has recommended, by its Resolution No. 5885, that said reclassification be approved as shown on Exhibit A.A. 645-A; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on notice and does now find that public necessity, convenience, and general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: PARCEL 1: Beginning at that point where the center line of Washington Avenue intersects the center line of Flower Street; thence northerly along the center line of Flower Street for a distance of 1165.2 feet, more or less, to the center line of an alley; thence easterly along the center line of said alley for a distance of 1231.6 feet, more or less, to the center line of Ross Street; thence southerly along the center line of Ross Street for a distance of 150 feet, more or less, to the center line of Sixteenth Street; thence easterly along the center line of Sixteenth Street for a distance of 429.5 feet, more or less, to the center line of Durant Street; thence southerly along the center line of Durant Street for a distance of 1155.1 feet, more or less, to the center line of Washington Avenue; thence westerly along the center line of Washington Avenue for a distance of 1082.8 feet, more or less, to the center line of Parton Street; thence northerly along the center line of Parton Street for a distance of 766.8 feet, more or less, to the center line of Fifteenth Street; thence westerly along the center line of Fifteenth Street for a distance of 410.1 feet; thence southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Flower Street for a distance of 616.8 feet, more or less; thence westerly for a distance of 14 feet, more or less; thence southerly for a distance of 150 feet, more or less, to the center line of Washington Avenue; thence westerly along the center line of Washington Avenue for a distance of 130 feet, more or less, to the center line of Flower Street and the Point of Beginning, is hereby reclassified from the R-2 and R-3 Districts to the R-3H District, and Sectional District Map 12-5-10 is hereby amended to show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 645 A. PARCEL 2: Beginning at that point where the center line of Washington Avenue intersects the center line of Flower Street; thence easterly along the center line of Washington Avenue for a distance of 1851.8 feet, more or less, to a -1-
