ORDINANCE NS-1172 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION <br />#720 FILED BY BURGER KINE PROPERTIES, INC. TO <br />REZONE PROPERTY FROM THE C 2 DISTRICT TO THE <br />R 2 DISTRICT, AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP <br />15-5-10 (EXHIBIT A.A. 720-A. ) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and <br />duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application #720, filed <br />by Burger King Properties, Inc. to rezone property generally lo- <br />cated on the west side of Jackson Street, between First Street <br />and Pine Street, from the C 2 District to the R 2 District, and <br />said Commission by its Resolution $6037 has recommended approval <br />reclassifying from the C 2 District to the R 2 District in ac- <br />cordance with Exhibit A.A. 720-A; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said Planning Commission finds that the R 2 zoning <br />would be in conformity to the City's General Plan and should not <br />be detrimental to the surrounding area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing <br />on said reclassification on published notice as required by law, <br />and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and <br />general welfare require that said property be reclassified from <br />the C 2 District to the R 2 District in the City of Santa Ana, and <br />that the new classification will not be detrimental to the surround- <br />ing property; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That the real property in the County of Orange, <br />State of California, described as:. <br /> <br />Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of <br />First and Jackson Streets; thence south along the <br />centerline of Jackson Street for a distance of 255 <br />feet more or less to the True Point of Beginning: <br />thence continuing south along last said centerline <br />for a distance of 405 feet, more or less; thence west <br />along a line parallel to the centerline of First St. <br />for a distance of 330 feet, more or less; thence north <br />along a line parallel to the centerline of Jackson St. <br />for a distance of 405 feet, more or less; thence east <br />along a line parallel to the centerline of First St. <br />for a distance of 330 feet, more or less, to the True <br />Point of Beginning <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the C 2 District to the R 2 District, <br />and Sectional District Map 15-5-10 is hereby amended to show said <br />reclassification in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 720-A. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. That the Clerk of the Council shall certify to the <br />passage of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published in <br />some daily newspaper printed and published in the City of Santa <br />Aha. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days <br />from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
