REL: nr 3-26-76 ORDINANCE NO. NS-1304 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 738 FILED BY MARY LOUISE LILY RANNEY, REZONING PROPERTY FROM THE C2 (GENERAL COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT TO THE R1 (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT, AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 10-5-10 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 738, filed by Mary Louise Lily Ranney to rezone property generally located south of Seventeenth Street and west of Fairview Street and the Santa Aha River in the City of Santa Ana, from the C2 (General Commercial) District to the R1 (Single-family Residence) District, and said Planning Commission has recommended approval of said application; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hear- ing on said rezoning on published notice as required by law, and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and gene- ral welfare require said property be reclassified from the C2 (General Commercial) District to the R1 (Single-family Residence) District, and that such new classification will not be detrimen- tal to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, California, described as folloWs: That portion of Section 10 in the Township 5 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho Las Bolsas, City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map recorded in Book 51, page 12 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the north line of said Section 10, distant West 520.00 feet from the Northeast corner of said Section 10, thence South 436.00 feet parallel with the East line of Said Section 10, thence West along a line parallel to the north line of said Section 10 a distance of 144.12 feet, thence Northerly in a straight line to a point of intersection with the north line of said Section 10 that is distant 661.85 feet west of the northeast corner of said Section 10, thence easterly along said north line 141.85 feet to the point of beginning, EXCEPTING THERE- FROM the North 210.00 feet of said parcel; is hereby reclassified from the C2 (General Commercial) District to the R1 (Single-family Residence) District, and that SeCtional District Map 10-5-10 is hereby amended to show said reclassifi- cation, in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 738-A.
