RESOLUTION 68-20 ACCEPTING DEEDS FORWHICH
<br />THE CITY IS PAYING A CASH CONSIDERATION
<br />
<br /> WHEREkS, HAZEL M. ROSENBAUM, ETHEL R. PEASE, FRANK O. ROSENBAUM,
<br />FRED G. ROSENBAUM, NELL R. FEW, PEGGy SUE STEVENS, ELENOR R. MARKHAM,
<br />MELVIN E. ROSENBAUM, LINA R. MAC CAUGHTRY, LEILA R. JERGENS, ED M.
<br />ROSENBAUM, HOMER T. ROSENBAUM, ANNE R. HOWELL and RUTH R. JONES, have
<br />executed a deed dated January 24, 1968, conveying to the City a parcel
<br />of real property on the north side of First Street, west of Main
<br />Street, for which the City is paying a cash consideration of $30,000.00;
<br />and, C & L MOTORS, a partnership, has executed a quitclaim deed dated
<br />January 24, 1968, quitclaiming their interest in the Rosenbaum property
<br />by reason of an unrecorded sales contract; said transaction to be
<br />handled through Escrow Number 55351-C with Security Title Insurance
<br />Company, Santa Ana, California; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, JOHN P. COZAD, as to an undivided three-fourths interest,
<br />CHARLES R. COZAD, an undivided one-eighth interest and JACQUELINE L.
<br />WILLIAMS, an undivided one-eighth interest, have executed a deed dated
<br />December 8, 1967, conveying to the City an easement for street purposes
<br />on the south side of First Street, and the east side of Sycamore, for
<br />which the City is paying a cash consideration of $1,040.00; said trans-
<br />action to be handled through Escrow Number 55392-C with Security Title
<br />Insurance Company, Santa Aha, California; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, MARY FRANCES LONG, has executed a deed dated February 9,
<br />1968, conveying to the City an easement for underground storm drain
<br />structures, and parcels of real property on the south side of First
<br />Street and the east side of Broadway, for which the City is paying a
<br />cash consideration of $545.00; said transaction to be handled through
<br />Escrow Number 55486-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana,
<br />California;
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
<br />authorized to sign the Escrow instructions; that the City of Santa Aha
<br />accepts said deeds, and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
<br />is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.

<br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the city of Santa Ana
<br />at its regular meeting held on the 19th day of February, 1968.
