393 Council Chamber Santa Aha City Hall January 20~ 1958. 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session. ~eting called to order by the Mayor. Present: Councilmen Absent: Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gquld, Jr., A. A. Hall~ J. Ogden Markel, Dale H. Heinly None The Pledge of Allegiance wasgiven. Invocation was given by Reverend Rhodes ~.~rtin of the Spurgeon ~morial M~thodist Church. Each member of the City Council havir~g received copies of the Minutes of January 6, 1958~ reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried. Bid acceptance Radio telephone equipment The Manager presented a tabulation of bids for the furnishin~ of one servi~car motorcycle radio, including all accessories, two solocycle motorcycle radios~ includir~ all accessories and fourteen mobile units~ including all accessories, per Specification No. 654-3, as follows: Orange County Radiotelephone Service Net cost to City $8,200.00 Motorola Communications &Electronics,Inc. ' ....... $9,165.41 On recommendation of the Manager and on motion of CounciLman Gould, seconded by Markel and carried, the low bid of Orange County Radiotelephone Service, at a net Hearing Improve Delhi and other streets Assessment Dist. No. 197 Reso. No. 58-14 cost of $8,200.00 was accepted and the other bid rejected. The Mayor announced this is the time and place for hearing evidence to determine whether the public convenience and necessity require the improvement of Delhi Stree' and others by paving and other work, in Assessment District No. 197, and asked the Clerk if she was in possession of the affidavit of publication and affidavit of posting. The Clerk stated she had the affidavit of publication and affidavit of posting, and on motion of Councilmau Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the affidavits were received and filed. The Clerk stated there were no written pro- tests. The Mayor asked if there were any oral protests, and there being none~ on motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hall and carried~ the hearing was closed. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Resolution entitled "Resolution No. 58-14 of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, finding that the public convenience and necessity require the improvement of Delhi and other streets all within the City of Santa Ana"
