Heinly <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance w~s given. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Reverend Carl E. Co. was accepted for Items 1 and 2, in the total <br /> <br />Hearing <br /> "Seventeenth and <br /> Wright N.E.No.2 Annex" <br /> <br />amount of $3,792.00, all other bids were rejected, and four checks ordered returned <br />This being the date set for hearing on the anuexation of property consisting of <br /> <br />approximately 110.415 acres and lOcated between Seventeanth Street and Santa Clara <br /> <br />Avenue, extending from Wright Street on the west to Tustin Avenue on the east, <br />designated "Seventeenth and Wright N.E. No. 2 Annex." On motion of Councilman <br /> <br />Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the Affidavits of Publicatien were received: <br />and filed. The Clerk stated written protests were received from Annie M., Ernie A. !, <br />and Robert F. Bushheim, Mrs. Charles H. Meier, Carl Jo Klatt and Royal J. V. Muelle~, <br /> <br />protesting the annexation of their property to the City of Santa Aha. On motion of <br /> <br />Colulei3m~n Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the protests were received and <br /> <br />filed. The Director of Public Works orally stated that the area has a total assesse <br /> <br />value of land and improvements totalling $141,550.00; the assessed value of the lan~ <br /> <br />represented by the protestants w~s found to be $96,200.O0, and from these figures <br /> <br />67.96% of the property owners have protested against the annexation. It was moved <br /> <br />by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, that the City Council finds <br /> <br />there is more than a majority protest in this annexation and further proceedings <br /> <br />shal~ not be taken. <br /> <br /> <br />
