J. Noble Company 83,671.00 <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Brewer, seconded by Heinly and carried, the lowest and best <br />bid of R. J. Noble Company was accepted at the unit prices and in the total amount <br /> <br />of $83,671.00, and all other bids rejected. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the communication <br /> <br />from CounciLman Stanley C. Gould, Jr., expressin~ his views reference the bid for <br /> <br />sale of the Old Library Site, was received and filed. The Mayor announced this is <br /> <br />the time for the sale of the Old Library Site, located at the northwest corner of <br /> <br />Fifth and Sycamore Streets· It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly <br /> <br />and carried, that on recommendation of the City Manager the Council declares that <br /> <br />the successful bidder for this real property will be accepted if the bidder makes a <br /> <br />deposit in the amount of $9,200.00, and that the Council hereby waives the deposit <br />of any additional amount which the Council might require as ten percent of the bid <br />price. The Mayor asked the Manager to inform the bidders of the preliminary title <br />report showing as to reservations, restrictions and easements. The Manager orally <br />reported that the City employed the Orange County Title Company to make a prelimin- <br />ary report on this particular property, and the report indicates there ~e no condi- <br /> <br /> <br />
