ORDINANCE NO. NS-2634 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SECTION 36-41 OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO <br />MISCELLANEOUS DRIVING MOVEMENTS AND ACTS <br />PROHIBITED <br /> <br />PJC/4-7-03 <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Aha hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br /> <br />Currently, Section 36-41 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code lists <br />miscellaneous driving movements and acts prohibited. <br /> <br />1. It is appropriate to revise subsection 11 to include bicycles, <br /> motorized scooters and other devices that can be propelled by <br /> human power within the civic center. <br /> <br />All provisions of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, which are repeated <br />herein, are repeated solely in order to comply with the provisions of <br />section 418 of the Charter of the City of Santa Aha. Any such restatement <br />of existing provisions of the Code is not intended, nor shall it be <br />interpreted, as constituting a new action or decision of the City Council, <br />but rather such provisions are repeated for tracking purposes only in <br />conformance with the Charter. <br /> <br /> Section 2. <br />amended as follows: <br /> <br />Section 36-41 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br /> <br />Sec. 36-4'1. Miscellaneous driving movements and acts prohibited. <br /> <br />No person shall: <br /> <br />(1) Drive between the vehicles comprising a funeral procession while it is in motion and <br />when such vehicles are identified as part of such procession by the display upon the <br />outside of each vehicle of a pennant or other identifying insignia or by such other <br />method a s may be determined a nd designated b y the chief of police. This provision <br />shall not apply at intersections where traffic is controlled by traffic-control signals or <br />police officers. <br /> <br />(2) While riding any bicycle, motorcycle, coaster, skateboard, motorized skateboard, <br />roller skates, or any toy vehicle, attach the same or himself to any moving vehicle upon <br />any roadway, and no person driving any vehicle shall permit the same to be done. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 2634 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
