NO. 04-151) <br /> <br />APPROVED <br />0 As Recommended <br />0 As Amended <br />0 Ordinance on 1 st Reading <br />0 Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />0 Implementing Resolution <br />0 Set Public Hearing For <br /> <br />¡I <br />. <br /> <br />f2Aa- <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />----- <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Award a contract to Bob Stall Chevrolet for the purchase of two midsize <br />passenger vehicles in the amount of $33,402.50. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Fleet Maintenance Division's annual Equipment Replacement Program <br />is included in the City's annual budget, and identifies vehicles <br />scheduled for replacement. Funding is monitored through a depreciation <br />schedule established with each department. <br /> <br />Various City departments utilize midsize passenger vehicles to perform <br />routine business. Due to the larger interior design of the Chevrolet <br />Impala, it is selected as the City's current standard for a midsize <br />vehicle. The Public Works Agency's Roadway Maintenance Department and <br />New Construction use passenger vehicles for supervisors in their daily <br />job responsibilities. Due to age, mileage and condition, two 1994 <br />Dodge Intrepids have been approved for replacement in the current <br />fiscal year. <br /> <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on December 8 and 10, 2004, and <br />bids were solicited.
