Patterson at Z:05 P. M., in <br />theCou,ncil Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana. The following <br />members of the Authority responded to the roll call: <br /> <br />J,ohn Garthe <br />H!LJ:'ry K. Yamamoto <br />J~rry M. Patterson <br /> <br />Vernon S. Evans <br />James E. Ward <br /> <br />The following members of the Authority were absent: <br /> <br />Lorin Griset <br />J. Ogden Markel <br /> <br />Thefollowing persons were also present: <br /> <br />Bruce C. Spragg, Secretary Pro Tern <br />James A. Withers, Attorney for the Authority <br />Manuel Rede, Assistant to the City Manager for Community Relations <br />Florence I. Malone, Recording Secretary <br />Representatives of the Press <br /> <br />The, full reading of the <br />Minutes of the Regular <br />M:eeting of April 16, 1973, was waived and the Minutes were unanimously <br />àpproved.as mailed on motion of Commissioner Yamamoto, secQnded þy <br />Commissioner Garthe <br /> <br />MINU TES <br /> <br />REPORT OF SECRETARY <br />PRO TEM <br /> <br /> <br />The status repo¡rt o~,' <br />Section 23 aøu4Ag ¡ <br />Program, dated <br /> <br />May 15, 1973 was presented to the Authority. <br /> <br />In addition Mr. Rede reported that Staff had received 193 applicatiøns for <br />hpusing; that 102 families had be'en determined eligible; that 91 place.ments <br />were pending; and that seven units had been occupied. <br /> <br />The fallowing report recommendations were approved on the unanimously <br />carried motion of Commissioner ,Ward, seconded by Commissioner Evans. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />That Housing Authority staff be authorized to continue <br />leasing units under present methods for a period not <br />to exceed one month. <br />
