<br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-11 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE <br />CONDEMNATION OF THAT CERTAIN REAL <br />PROPERTY IDENTIFIED AS 1812-1818~ 1828 <br />N. MAIN STREET,SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, <br />FOR REDEVELOPMENT PURPOSES <br /> <br />THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />(the "Agency")hereby finds: <br /> <br />A. Pursuant to the Redevelopment Plan (the "Redevelopment <br />Plan") for the Santa Ana Redevelopment Project (the "Project <br />Area"), it has become necessary for Agency to acquire, for <br />redevelopment purposes, that certain property generally <br />within the Project Area known as 1812-1818~ 1828 North Main <br />Street in the City of Santa Ana, more particularly described <br />in Exhibit A attached hereto (the Property"); and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />B. The Agency seeks to acquire the Property in order to <br />assemble a si te to be conveyed to the St. Joseph Ballet <br />Company, a non-profit corporation (the "Developer") for <br />construction and operation of a ballet school serving low <br />income youth in the community (the "Project"). <br /> <br />C. The Agency has made an offer to the owner of record to <br />acquire the Property described herein at an amount not less <br />than the Agency's approved appraisal of the fair market value <br />of the property; and <br /> <br />D. A duly noticed public hearing was held by the Agency on <br />those matters set forth in its Notice of Intention to Adopt a <br />Resolution of Necessity and referred to in Section 1240.030, <br />Code of civil Procedure, which included the following <br />matters: <br /> <br />(i) whether <br />require the Project; <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />public <br /> <br />interest <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />necessity <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />(ii) whether the Project is planned and located in <br />the manner that will be compatible with the greatest public <br />good and the least private injury; and <br />
