Adopt a resolution approving Historic Register Categorization No. <br />2003-47. <br /> <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION ACTION <br /> <br />By direction of the City Council the Historic Resources Commission on <br />June 3, 2004 reconsidered the structure located at 924 North Lowell <br />Street for placement and categorization on the Santa Ana Register of <br />Historical Properties as Key. The Commission adopted a resolution <br />approving Historic Resources Commission Application No. 2003-45 and <br />Historic Register Categorization No. 2003-47 for 924 North Lowell Street <br />at its' June 3, 2004 meeting by a vote of 5:1 (Schaefer opposed, Gartner <br />and O'Callaghan absent, Lutz abstained) . <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Request of Applicant <br /> <br />Mr. Fernando Astran, owner of the Joe Lowell House, located at 924 North <br />Lowell Street, requests the approval of Appeal No. 2004-02 to prevent the <br />placement and categorization of his property as Key on the Santa Ana <br />Register of Historical Properties. His reasons for appealing the <br />register listing include: 1) building and landscape restrictions and 2) <br />ownership rights and privileges (Exhibit 1). <br /> <br />55A-1 <br />
