The lease is expiring <br />on May 31, 2006. The current location is easily accessible to the public <br />and the agency is requesting the lease be extended for an additional three <br />years. The current base rental rate at this location is $17,517.35 per <br />month for 11,724 square feet. The new rate will be $16,999.80 per month for <br />the first three years. At the end of three years, if the City elects to <br />request a two-year extension option, the increased monthly rate will be <br />$17,468.76 for the first year and $17,992.76 per month for the second year. <br />The Community Development Agency's Workforce Investment Board staff has <br />been sharing office space with the Parks, Recreation and Community Services <br />Agency for the past two years, and has requested to continue this <br />arrangement. <br /> <br />A new Recreation Center along with permanent headquarter offices is being <br />planned at Memorial Park. This process will take approximately three years <br />to plan, design and construct. <br /> <br />25E-1 <br />
