Award a contract to Moore Electric Contracting Inc., the lowest <br />responsible bidder, in accordance with unit bid prices in the <br />estimated amount of $374,921 for traffic signal installation at Dyer <br />Road and Garnsey Street and the traffic signal modification at <br />Harbor Boulevard and Segerstrom Avenue. <br /> <br />2. Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost <br />of $435,200. <br /> <br />3. Approve an appropriation adjustment transferring unappropriated <br />Transportation System Improvement Area E revenue (account no. 34-01- <br />5010) in the amount of $175,000 and appropriate to the Transportation <br />System Improvement Area E fund (account no. 34-631-6631) for the <br />traffic signal installation at Dyer Road and Garnsey Street and the <br />traffic signal modification at Harbor Boulevard and Segerstrom <br />Avenue. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />As part of the City's Capital Improvement Program, the City plans to <br />install a new traffic signal at the intersection of Dyer Road and Garnsey <br />Street and left turn phasing for east-west directions at the intersection <br />of Harbor Boulevard and Segerstrom Avenue (Exhibit 1). Once completed, <br />these improvements will increase overall safety at these intersections. <br /> <br />23A-1 <br />
