The <br />exterior painting is necessary to repair and prevent damage due to normal <br />exposure to the elements. Painting the stations will improve their <br />appearance and help in maintaining clean, attractive facilities. <br /> <br />The notice inviting <br />bids were solicited. <br />as follows: <br /> <br />bids was advertised on March 31 and April 3, 2006, and <br />A summary of the bid invitations and bids received is <br /> <br />18 Invitations For Bid mailed <br />6 Invitations For Bid mailed to Santa Ana vendors <br />4 Bids received <br /> <br />Bids were received, opened on April 18, 2006, and evaluated (Exhibit 1). <br />The bid received from Jimenez Painting Company is responsive to the <br />specification and meets the City's requirements.
