The Parks, Recreation and Community <br />Services Agency coordinates various youth guidance programs including teen <br />mentoring, summer day camp, and the "Triangle Kids Zone" after school <br />program. The Santa Ana Library provides treat bags to participants in its <br />reading incentive program. The Police Department also purchases <br />miscellaneous sanitary and paper goods for storage of evidence. <br /> <br />Bids were solicited from several local vendors for supply of these items <br />using material releases or purchase orders and no bids were received. <br />Staff contacted several vendors who indicated that they do not accept <br />payment via purchase orders or material releases. Only Smart & Final, a <br />Santa Ana vendor, facilitates a City purchases by accepting material <br />releases and purchase orders.
