Vice Chairman <br />STAFF PRESENT Robyn Uptegraff, Executive Director <br />Kenneth Adams, Planning Manager <br />Gazy Sheatz, Assistant City Attorney <br />Shazon McCain Johnson, Recording Secretazy <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. <br />B. <br />Approval of the Minutes from the meeting of May 10, 1999. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve the minutes from the meeting of May 10, 1999. <br />Reconsideration of actions taken at previous meeting. <br />++++ END OF CONSENT +++• <br />C. <br />Motion to approve Consent Calendar items. <br />MOTION: Nalle <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAINED: <br />Verino, Nalle, Solorio, and Cribb <br />None <br />Mondo, Doughty, and Richardson <br />None <br />SECONDED: Solorio <br />APPEAL OF THE PLANNING MANAGER'S DECISION NO. 99-02 (Lynnette Perry) <br />Filed by Mr. Matthew Lang to appeal the Planning Manager's decision not to allow a conditional use for an <br />outdoor storage and display of out-buildings in the landscaped setback area located at 1701 East Carnegie <br />Street. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Deny Appeal of the Planning Manager's Decision No. 99-02. <br />Ms. Lynnette Perry, Associate Planner, presented the staff report and recommendation. <br />Ms. Andi Culbertson, representing the applicant, demonstrated a display of sheds the company <br />manufactures; indicated that the sheds were used as advertisement and was visible from the 55 freeway; <br />stated that there was an array of support for the product and the company; and requested approval of the <br />appeal. <br />The Commission unanimously commented that Tuff Shed was an exemplazy and respectable company but <br />they were opposed to the outdoor display and advertisement.
