Aouroval of the Minutes from the study session of July 14,''i1999. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve the minutes of the regular meeting of July 14, 1999' <br />2. Reconsideration of actions taken at previous meeting. ~I <br />*** Cansent Calendar Items ** <br />Motion to approve the Consent Calendar items. <br />MOTION: Brenes Second: Simons <br />AYE5: Kings, Brenes, Chamberlain, Corpin, Cribb, Garner, Giles, and Simons <br />NOE5: None <br />ABSENT: Berry <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Madam Chair Kings introduced Commissioner Giles and wel~omed him to the Commission. <br />Commissioner Cribb suggested a fourth category, Landmark] be added to the categories of <br />historic buildings. He requested a discussion be held regardipg building interiors at a future <br />meeting. <br />Final discussion of code amendments for the demolition oi< structures. <br />Ms. Maya DeRosa, Senior Planner, discussed the demolition process with the Commission, its <br />status as a review body, and property owners' rights regarding demolitions. Mr. Joseph <br />Edwards, Principal Planner, stated that the final amendments would be brought forward to the <br />Commission at the next scheduled meeting. <br />4. Discussion of Historic Resources Committee status. <br />Mr. Joseph Edwards, Principal Planner, discussed with the] Commission the current starus of <br />the subcommittee's progress as it relates to categorizing ,structures on the Register. The <br />Commission re-established a committee (Kings, Corpin, renes, Cribb, and Giles) to re- <br />evaluate the existing placement of historic strucrures in the categories, discuss adding a fourth <br />category, and modify the Exceptional name to Landmark. <br />II <br />
