RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA A A APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2008-38 TO PLACE THE PROPERT LOCATED AT <br />610 EAST THIRD STREET, SANTA NA ON THE <br />HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2008-38 PLACING <br />SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE KEY CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOUR~ES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On March 5, 2009, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of <br />Historical Properties (Historic Resources commission Application No. <br />2008-38) and categorization (Historic Resources Commission <br />Categorization No. 2008-38) of the Roelands House, located at 610 East <br />Third Street, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Roelands House was constructed in 1912 and is a Craftsman <br />Bung~tow styled house. The structure's missing is symmetrical with a <br />centered front door and front facade fenestration (one over one double <br />hung windows). Each front facing window includes splayed lintels, and <br />two front gabled dormers grace the front fa~ade, each with latticed vents <br />to match the front gable vent. <br />C: This home qualifies for listing on the Santis Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties and is eligible for categorization as Key because it "has a <br />distinctive architectural style and quality" aslan excellent example of the <br />Craftsman Bungalow style. The house is ihighly intact and in excellent <br />condition. <br />D. Character defining features of this house include exposed rafters and <br />beams, horizontal wood siding, and an art stone front porch. <br />E. The legal owner of the subject property is Jose Leal. <br />F.
