I V bVVCRIV IVICIV I VVUL ,' V ~vV <br />EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />• RESOLUTION NO. 2008-20 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2008-14 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2345 NORTH HELIOTROPE DRIVE, SANTA ANA ON THE <br />HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2008-14 PLACING <br />SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE CONTRIBUTIVE <br />CATEGORY <br />KO -8!28!08 <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />• A. On September 4, 2008, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of <br /> Historical Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br /> 2008-14) and categorization (Historic Resources Commission <br /> Categorization No. 2008-14) of the Waddell House, located at 2345 North <br /> Heliotrope Drive, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Waddell House, built in 1940, and is a minimal traditional style of <br /> architecture. It is a single-story residence with cross-gabled roof, front bay <br /> window with primarily six-over-six fenestration. <br />C. This modest single-story home qualifies for designation because it <br /> "contributes to the overall character and history" of Santa Ana, and is a <br /> "good example of period architecture." <br />D. Character defining features of this house include smooth stucco exterior <br /> cladding, ornamental shutters, and attached brick chimney <br />E. The legal owner of the subject property is Cathy Dawes. <br />F. The legal description for the subject property is attached hereto as Exhibit <br /> A and incorporated by this reference as though fully set forth herein. <br />G.
