IV bVVCKIVNICIVI VVUCsoIVo <br />EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />• RESOLUTION NO. 2008-05 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2008-02 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />212 EAST BERKELEY STREET, SANTA ANA ON THE <br />HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2008-02 PLACING <br />SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE KEY CATEGORY <br />KO -3/24/08 <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On April 3, 2008, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly noticed <br />• public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. 2008-02) and <br />categorization (Historic Resources Commission Categorization No. 2008- <br />02) of the Mitchell House, located at 212 East Berkeley Street, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Mitchell House, located at 212 East Berkeley Street, Santa Ana, was <br />constructed circa 1898 and is an intact example of Folk <br />Victorian/Pyramidal Roof variant style of architecture. <br />C. It qualifies for listing on the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties <br />and categorization as Key because it "has a distinctive architectural style <br />and quality", as an example of Folk Victorian architecture. <br />D. Character defining features of this house include porch ornamentation, <br />one-over-one window fenestration, and a symmetrical facade. <br />E. The legal owner of the subject property is HSBC Bank USA NA Series <br />2007-1. <br />F. The legal description for the subject property is attached hereto as Exhibit <br />A and incorporated by this reference as though fully set forth herein. <br />G. The subject property meets the minimal standards for placement on the <br />City of Santa Ana Register of Historic Properties pursuant to Section 30-2 <br />of the Santa Ana Municipal Code. <br />• H.
