The Planning Commission made no changes to the <br />recommended conditions of approval outlined in the attached staff report (Exhibit A). <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Boys and Girls Club of Santa Ana proposes to remodel and expand an existing <br />neighborhood and community center at 950 West Highland Street. The remodel will include a <br />new game room, learning center, career development area and teen center. The applicant also <br />proposes to construct a new 1,836 square foot garage /maintenance structure on a newly <br />acquired vacant parcel immediately east of the existing Club. The approval of the conditional <br />use permit and variance would allow the facility to continue to provide needed services to current <br />and future community residents. <br />31A-1 <br />
