EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />ROH — 10/02/14 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-02 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2014-02 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2415 NORTH BONNIE BRAE, SANTA ANA, ON THE <br />HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2014-02 PLACING <br />SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE KEY CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On October 2, 2014, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of <br />Historical Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br />2014-02) and categorization (Historic Resources Commission <br />Categorization No. 2014-02) of the Judge Allen House, located at 2415 <br />North Bonnie Brae, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Judge Allen House has distinctive architectural features of the <br />Minimal Traditional style with Colonial Revival accents, such as the <br />dormer and wide chimney, and was built in 1927 by Judge James L. Allen <br />and his wife Alys. Mr. Allen was a Judge for the Superior Court in the <br />County of Orange Department One. <br />C. This home qualifies for listing on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties and is eligible for categorization as Key for its association with <br />Judge James L. Allen and because it is "a good example of period <br />architecture." <br />D. Character -defining features of the Judge Allen House that should be <br />preserved include, but may not be limited to, exterior materials, massing <br />and dormers, original windows where extant, chimney, and front porch <br />configuration. <br />E. The legal owners of the subject property are Craig and Elizabeth Hoffman. <br />F.
