EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />ROH — 11/06/14 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-04 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2014-11 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />1908 NORTH FLOWER STREET, SANTA ANA, ON THE <br />HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2014-12 PLACING <br />SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE KEY CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: — <br />A. On November 6, 2014, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of <br />Historical Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br />2014-11) and categorization (Historic Resources Commission <br />Categorization No. 2014-12) of the Dr. D. Waynick House, located at 1908 <br />North Flower Street, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Dr. D. Waynick House has distinctive architectural features of the <br />Mission/Spanish Colonial Revival style and was built in 1930 by prolific <br />builders, Ball and Honer. The first owner was Dr. and Mrs. Dean Waynick. <br />Dr. Waynick was a nationwide expert in the citrus industry. <br />C. This home qualifies for listing on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties and is eligible for categorization as Key for its association with <br />Dr. Waynick, a "significant person to the city", and for its "distinctive <br />architectural style and quality". <br />D. Character -defining features of the Dr. D. Waynick House that should be <br />preserved include, but may not be limited to, exterior materials such as <br />stucco, stucco texture, roof tiles, original windows including the front <br />window grills, massing, and articulation. <br />E. The legal owners of the subject property are David Butts and Ellen <br />Friedlander. <br />F.
