EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />ROH — 11/06/14 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-10 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2014-30 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2029 NORTH FLOWER STREET, SANTA ANA, ON THE <br />HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2014-31 PLACING <br />SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE KEY CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On November 6, 2014, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of <br />Historical Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br />2014-30) and categorization (Historic Resources Commission <br />Categorization No. 2014-31) of the Dr. M. McMurray House, located at <br />2029 North Flower Street, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Dr. M. McMurray House has distinctive architectural features of the <br />Ranch style and was built in 1936 by prolific builder, Allison Honer. The <br />first occupants were Dr. and Mrs. Milton McMurray. Mrs. McMurray was <br />from a founding family of Humbolt County and Dr. McMurray was a <br />prominent dentist. <br />C. This home qualifies for listing on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties and is eligible for categorization as Key for its "distinctive <br />architectural style and quality" and its association with Dr. Milton <br />McMurray, "a significant person to the city". <br />D. Character -defining features of the Dr. M. McMurray House that should be <br />preserved include, but may not be limited to, exterior stucco material, the <br />unique garage door, fenestration patterns, massing and front entry details. <br />E. The legal owner of the subject property is Michael Joe Weatherly. <br />F.
