EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />ROH — 11/06/14 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-12 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2014-36 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2410 N. NORTH PARK BOULEVARD, SANTA ANA, ON <br />THE HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING <br />HISTORIC REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2014-36 <br />PLACING SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE KEY <br />CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On November 6, 2014, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of <br />Historical Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br />2014-36) and categorization (Historic Resources Commission <br />Categorization No. 2014-36) of the Nisson House, located at 2410 N. <br />North Park Boulevard, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Nisson House has distinctive architectural features of the Spanish <br />Colonial Revival style. <br />C. This home qualifies for listing on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties and is eligible for categorization as Key for its association with <br />famous people, in particular, the Nisson Family who arrived in Santa Ana <br />prior to the City's incorporation, and three generations contributed to the <br />region's agricultural industry as successful cultivators of walnuts and <br />orange groves. <br />D. Character -defining features of the Nisson House that should be preserved <br />include, but may not be limited to, stucco cladding, plus the incorporation <br />such characteristics as an asymmetrical composition, tiled and gabled <br />roof, arched openings; and patios. <br />E. The legal owners of the subject property are George and Sherri Honer. <br />F.
