EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />ROH — 11/20/14 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-19 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2014-38 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2388 NORTH HELIOTROPE DRIVE, SANTA ANA, ON THE <br />HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2014-22 PLACING <br />SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE KEY CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On November 20, 2014, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of <br />Historical Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br />2014-38) and categorization (Historic Resources Commission <br />Categorization No. 2014-38) of the Harwood House, located at 2388 North <br />Heliotrope Drive, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Harwood House has distinctive architectural features of the English <br />Revival style with such as the stucco cladding, attic vents, and steeply <br />pitched roof, and was built for Frank R. Harwood, a Postmaster for the <br />City of Santa Ana. <br />C. This home qualifies for listing on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties and is eligible for categorization as Key for its association with <br />Frank R. Harwood and because it contributes to the historic character of <br />the Floral Park neighborhood through its age, architectural style, and <br />scale. Character -defining features of the Harwood House that should be <br />preserved include, but may not be limited to, materials and finishes <br />(stucco); roof configuration, materials, and treatment; massing and <br />composition; entry; doors and windows; architectural detailing (roof edges, <br />attic venting); and chimney. <br />D. The legal owners of the subject property are Micah and Kerri Stork. <br />E.
