EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />ROH — 11 /06/14 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-20 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2014-04 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2139 NORTH FLOWER STREET, SANTA ANA, ON THE <br />HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2014-04 PLACING <br />SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE CONTRIBUTIVE <br />CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On November 20, 2014, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of <br />Historical Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br />2014-04) and categorization (Historic Resources Commission <br />Categorization No. 2014-04) of the Dr. H.B. Nall -Belisle House, located at <br />2139 North Flower Street, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Dr. H.B. Nall -Belisle House has distinctive architectural features of the <br />Monterey Variant style, and was built in 1937 for Dr. H.B. Nall. Dr. Nall <br />was a dentist with an office at 809 N. Main Street. His wife's name was <br />Frances. He graduated from the University of Southern California. The <br />home was also owned by Harvey and Charlotte Belisle of Belisle's <br />Restaurant, a 43 -year restaurant landmark in Garden Grove. <br />C. This home qualifies for listing on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties and is eligible for categorization as Contributive because it is "a <br />good example of period architecture." <br />D. Character -defining features of the Dr. H.B. Nall -Belisle House that should <br />be preserved include, but may not be limited to, exterior materials, wood <br />windows, balcony configuration and style, and fenestration patterns. <br />E. The legal owners of the subject property are Edward Allen Murashie and <br />Linda June Grant. <br />F.
