EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017-03 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2016-29 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2415 NORTH HELIOTROPE DRIVE ON THE HISTORICAL <br />REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC REGISTER <br />CATEGORIZATION NO. 2016-27 PLACING SAID <br />PROPERTY WITHIN THE CONTRIBUTIVE CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On April 6, 2017, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly noticed <br />public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. 2016-29) and <br />Historic Register Categorization No. 2016-27 for the Dr. Paterson House <br />located at 2415 North Heliotrope Drive, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Dr. Paterson House contains distinctive architectural features of the <br />Spanish Colonial Revival style, and was built in 1927. <br />C. This home qualifies for listing on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties and is eligible for categorization as "Contributive" because it <br />,.contributes to the overall character and history" of Santa Ana, and, as an <br />intact example of the Spanish Colonial Revival style in the Floral Park <br />neighborhood, "is a good example of period architecture." Character - <br />defining features of the Dr. Paterson House include, but may not be <br />limited to: exterior materials including stucco, clay roof tiles, original <br />windows, original front entry door, and "L" shaped massing. <br />D. The legal owners of the subject property are Clive J. and Katherine A. <br />Skilton, as members of the Skilton Family Trust. <br />E. The legal description for the subject property is attached hereto as Exhibit <br />A and incorporated by this reference as though fully set forth herein. <br />F. The subject property meets the minimal standards for placement on the <br />City of Santa Ana Register of Historic Properties pursuant to Section 30-2 <br />of the Santa Ana Municipal Code. <br />Resolution No. 2017-03 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
