EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 27383 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017-12 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2017-06 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />1909 NORTH POINSETTIA STREET, SANTA ANA, ON <br />THE HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING <br />HISTORIC REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2017-05 <br />PLACING SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE CONTRIBUTIVE <br />CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CIN OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On September 28, 2017 the Historic Resources Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of <br />Historical Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br />2017-06) and categorization (Historic Resources Commission <br />Categorization No. 2017-05) of the Molfetto House located at 1909 North <br />Poinsettia Street, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Molfetto House has distinctive architectural features of the Minimal <br />Traditional style, and was built in 1939 by Roy Russell. <br />C. This home qualifies for listing on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties and is eligible for categorization as "Contributive" under <br />Criterion 1 for its exemplification of the distinguishing characteristics of the <br />Minimal Traditional style. Additionally, the house has been categorized as <br />"Contributive" because it is an intact example of a Minimal Traditional <br />residence in the Park Santiago neighborhood, and "is a good example of <br />period architecture. Character -defining features of the Molfetto House that <br />should be preserved include, but may not be limited to, materials and <br />finishes, roof configuration and detailing; original windows where extant; <br />minimal use of applied ornament; architectural details such as the <br />shutters, and elaborated entry surround including awning and pilasters. <br />D. Angela Meyer is the legal owner of this property. <br />E.
