<br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-18 <br />cAS:7o~2a~s~ <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING CON- <br />DITIONAL USE PERMIT N0. 97-18 TO ALLOW <br />AUTO SERVICING ACTIVITY AT 817 EAST <br />FIRST STREET <br />WHEREAS, this Commission held a public hearing on October 27, <br />1997, on Conditional Use Permit Application No. 97-18, to allow <br />auto servicing activity at 817 East First Street; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Based upon the evidence submitted at the abovesaid <br />hearing, this Commission finds and determines as follows: <br />A. That the proposed use will provide a service or facility <br />which will contribute to the general well being of the neighborhood <br />or the community. <br />The proposed automotive service uses on this site are <br />consistent with and support the transitional character of the uses <br />along east First Street from commercial to the west to industrial <br />to the east and including other automotive parts and repair <br />activities nearby. <br />B. That the proposed use will not, under the circumstances <br />of the particular case, be detrimental to the health, safety, or <br />general welfare of persons residing or working in the vicinity. <br />The proposed use as designed on this site with screen walls <br />and sound barriers will buffer adjacent sensitive residential land <br />uses from First Street as well as the proposed project. <br />C. That the proposed use will not adversely affect the <br />present economic stability or future economic development of <br />property in the surrounding area. <br />The use and design provides a visual upgrade and new economic <br />activity to this area of First Street. <br />D. That the proposed use will comply with the regulations <br />and conditions specified in this chapter for such use; and <br />As approved by Conditional Use Permit No. 97-18, the project <br />complies with the regulations for development operations at this <br />location. <br />• <br />
