ORDINANCE NO. NS-1217 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING, CALLING, <br />PROVIDING FOR AND GIVING NOTICE OF A SPECIAL <br />ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON NOVEMBER <br />5, 1974, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE <br />QUALIFIED VOTERS OF SAID CITY A BALLOT MEASURE <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF SANTA ANA HOUSING <br />AUTHORITY TO DEVELOP, CONSTRUCT, OR ACQUIRE <br />WITH FEDERAL ASSISTANCE AND/OR ASSISTANCE FROM <br />A STATE PUBLIC BODY, LOW-RENT HOUSING SPECIFI- <br />CALLY DESIGNED FOR ELDERLY LOW-INCOME RESIDENTS, <br />AND CONSOLIDATING SAID ELECTION WITH THE STATE- <br />WIDE GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON SAID DAY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />desires to authorize the Housing Authority of the City of <br />Santa Ana to develop, construct or acquire in the City of <br />Santa Ana, with Federal assistance and/or assistance from <br />a State public body, low-rent housing specifically designed <br />for elderly low-income residents; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the California State Constitution, Article 34, <br />Section 1 thereof, requires a majority of the qual'ified electors <br />of the City of Santa Ana voting upon such issue to approve <br />the development, construction, or acquisition, in the City of <br />Santa Ana of low-rent housing specifically designed for elderly <br />low-income residents; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That a special election be held and the same <br />is hereby called to be held in the City of Santa Aha on November <br />5, 1974, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters <br />of said City a ballot measure hereinafter set forth, relating <br />to the authorization of the Housing Authority of the City of <br />Santa Ana, to develop, construct, or acquire in the City of <br />Santa Ana, with Federal assistance and/or assistance from a <br />State public body, low-rent housing specifically designed <br />for elderly low-income residents. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That the polls for said election shall be <br />opened at 7:00 o'clock a.m. of the day of said election and <br />shall remain open continuously from said time until 8:00 <br />o'clock p.m. of the same day, then said polls shall be closed, <br /> <br /> <br />
