ORDINANCE NO. NS -2869 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AMENDING SECTIONS 2 -300 AND 2 -300.5 OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE ESTABLISHING THE TITLE OF <br />SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE CITY MANAGER AND <br />MAKING OTHER TECHNICAL MODIFICATIONS TO THE TITLES <br />OF OFFICERS AND DEPARTMENT HEADS OF THE CITY. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, <br />determines and declares as follows: <br />A. The Council is desirous of adding the title of Special Assistant to the City <br />Manager; and, <br />Section 2. Section 2 -300 is amended by deleting reference to the Library <br />Director and Fire Chief, so that it shall read as follows: <br />Sec. 2 -300. City officers and department heads. <br />The following are officers of the City of Santa Ana: <br />(1) Members of the city council; <br />(2) City manager; <br />(3) City attorney; <br />(4) Clerk of the council; <br />(5) Assistant city manager; <br />(6) Deputy city manager for development services; <br />(7) Special assistant to the city manager; <br />(8) Police chief; <br />(9) Executive director of finance and management services; <br />(10) Executive director of public works; <br />(11) Executive director of parks, recreation and community services; <br />(12) Executive director of personnel services; <br />(13) Executive director of community development; <br />(14) Executive director of planning and building safety. <br />If this ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the <br />decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity <br />of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby declares that it would have adopted this ordinance and each section, <br />subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof irrespective of the fact that any <br />one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions be declared <br />invalid or unconstitutional. <br />Ordinance No. NS -2869 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
