City of Santa Ana Job No: 01-3058-002-01-00 <br />September 25, 1992 Log No: 2-2662 <br />Page 25 <br />7.11 Pavements <br />7.11.1 Asphalt Concrete Pavement <br />a.Based on an R-Value of 25 and on the <br />Traffic Indices (TI) provided by you, the <br />following pavement sections are <br />recommended: <br />Crushed <br />AC Aggregate <br />Surface Course Base <br />Location/Pavement Utilization TI fin)Course(in) <br />Auto Parking/Driveways 5.5 4 7 <br />(Note: With the TI of 5.5, the minimum pavement section <br />required would be 4 inch of AC, over 6 inch of AB; <br />however the indicated section is based on yourrecommendations for the type of facility proposed.) <br />b.The subgrade should be compacted to <br />achieve a relative compaction of at least <br />90 percent through the upper 12 inches. <br />C.The Aggregate Base should be compacted to <br />achieve a relative compaction of at least <br />95 percent. <br />d. Base material should meet the require- <br />ments of the Standard Specifications for <br />Public Works Construction (Green Book) <br />for Crushed Aggregate Base.Compaction <br />standards for the subgrade and the base <br />course should be obtained in accordance <br />with ASTM: D 1557. <br />L- <br />-.
